Chewing gum was once forbidden snack for every school age child. In 2005 it was named the number one snack choice by the Americans. New research indicates that it can for a number of things that are good:
- Helping to manage weight
- To increase the concentration
- To increase the attention
- To increase the concentration
- Relieves stress everyday life
- Sugar gum can be used to prevent tooth decay and freshen breath
Chewing gum isvery easy to carry in a purse, bag or lunch box. It is an inexpensive snack low in calories at about 5 to 10 calories per serving. With such a low calorie count, it's a good way to Munch, reducing caloric intake and avoid high-calorie snacks.
Gum before an afternoon snack can help to decrease hunger and caloric intake after an initial study published in "Appetite" in 2007. It could be a simple and cost effective way of suppressing the appetite.
This studyconsisted of adults who chew gum for 15 minutes at one hour intervals over a period of three hours before the lunch, an afternoon snack. The results were:
- The adults who ate 36 calories less chewed by the snack as adults, do not chew gum. There was no difference found chewing on a regular or sugar-free gum. Both regular and sugar contributed to the adults who chew gum to eat less.
- Check the role of chewing gum in appetite and weight control is needed for further research
Youcan save up to 120 calories by chewing two sticks of chewing gum at 20 calories instead of eating 1 to 2 chocolate chip cookies at 140 calories. Sugar gum is also considered "free" food for weight management food exchange lists.
It is a small lifestyle change that can make a difference long term. Try to chew gum and not meaningless to manage your weight.

- A simple way to focus and increase the reliefVoltage
- Chewing can relieve daily stresses of driving in traffic or waiting in long lines are connected, waiting for doctors or dentists offices.
- Many athletes and coaches chew gum to help them "stay in the game."
- Some teachers, the school policies were reversed and encouraged students, chewing gum during tests helps to increase attention and concentration to chew. Remember, if you had in the corner for chewing gum? I did so good, but somehow secretlyknew it was something very good about chewing gum! Now the truth finally comes out ......
- Some psychiatrists and psychologists believe two reasons why people chew gum to reduce boredom and stress. I fully agree and I was probably bored and tense every time I was caught chewing gum during lessons.
- Chewing gum can also help to release the nerves and an outlet for frustration and anger.
